Whether you want to believe it or not, we’re in the middle of an economic meltdown. The rate at which inflation has caught up with EVERYTHING is sick.
When I got married 11 years ago, my wife would go to the market with 30k and everywhere would be filled up to capacity. Today, with 100k, it appears like she simply went for a stroll.
7 years ago, I bought a machine for 1.2 million. it’s about 5 million now.
I bought a Toyota Sienna (2000 model) car 8 years ago around 1.2 million, it’s about 3.5 million right now, I heard.
I’m very sure you have your own stories of inflation.
But, hey! World history shows that we’re just caught in the cycle of life. From creation, the world has gone through endless cycles of “famine and plenty”. It’s all over history books and the Bible and believe me, it’s not about to end! Get ready to go through this season of life and excel and I have some great strategy for you.

Now, as business owners, entrepreneurs or employees in leadership position, I want to share three ways you can help your company stay afloat and even profitable through and beyond season.
To many people, all they think about is price increase but that is totally unsustainable! If you don’t sell food, water, fuel or homes, you can’t increase prices carelessly, you’ll likely lose clients.
So these are three strategies you should implement to stay relevant!
1. Create products and make mouth-watering offers (like the fried rice and jollof rice below). Make the offers so irresistible, no sane person in need of the product would be able to resist it. Now, don’t stop there, do all you can to find relevant customers that NEED them. Remember, “offers sell products faster than the features of the products themselves!” (This is my quote actually, you can post on social media and tag me ).
2. Don’t be shy about selling. Shyness doesn’t pay bills. Sell, sell, sell. Learn about selling but most importantly, SELL! There is a book I’m reading by Russel Brunson, I think you should get it – “Sell Like Crazy”. If you are in Nigeria or intend to sell to Nigerians, you should get “How to Sell to Nigerians” by Akin Alabi. I learned a lot from that book and it is still a manual I consult.
In my first book, Shift, I wrote, “Without sound, there cannot be any echo”. Your offer will not resound if you don’t make noise about it.
3. While at it, don’t forget to look closely at your internal processes. A most important goal this season must be to earn more while spending less. You must answer the question, “How can we do more with lower effort and at lower cost?”
Productivity should be at the peak this season! No one should be sloppy in your team. This is the time to bring the “A” game!..
